Overview

CFD International offers three designs to meet the needs of any customer. For customers who already own the IDAS mount, HOSS is a low-cost upgrade that reuses many legacy components to save expense. HOSS is also sold as a complete, standalone system. It adds guided missile/rocket capability to the aircraft, plus two more stores. HOSS is completely modular for maximum mission flexibility. The crew-served capability of the IDAS system remains unchanged. The mount also supports external fuel tanks. Customers needing to fold and stow the weapons inside the cabin with doors closed need the Ordnance Mounting System (OMS). It supports the same weapons, and adds crew-served capability for the GAU-19 3-barrel, .50 cal Gatling gun or LR30 30mm cannon. The OMS mounts to the floor of the helicopter via 4 hard points that fold flat for a “slick” floor when not in use. The 4 fixed-forward stores are remotely fired by the pilot. The center section of the system provides quick-release mounting locations for ammunition. All components are modular and rapidly-reconfigurable without tools. If crew-served stations are not required, our Light Weight OMS (LWOMS) is the preferred solution.
